As we come towards the end of summer, this is often when I start noticing the effects of all those sunny days showing up on the skin.

Maybe you’ve noticed more pigmentation, your skin feels drier or more dehydrated, or fine lines seem a little more obvious. Perhaps your skin just looks a bit less fresh than it did at the start of summer.

And if you’re in perimenopause or menopause, you may find these changes are more noticeable than they used to be.

Hormonal changes are already affecting collagen, hydration and skin resilience. Then add sunshine, UV exposure, sea salt, travel and air conditioning, and it’s easy to see why your skin might be asking for a little extra attention.

So, what would I suggest?

This is exactly the time of year when I’d be thinking about EndyMed Intensif.

It’s one of my favourite treatments for helping to repair and strengthen the skin after summer, while also getting it ready for the colder months ahead.

EndyMed Intensif combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen and elastin deep within the skin.

And that’s what I really like about it.

We’re not simply treating what we can see on the surface. We’re encouraging your skin to
rebuild and strengthen from within.

It can be particularly helpful for:

● Pigmentation and uneven skin tone after summer
● Dry, dehydrated-looking skin and rougher texture
● Fine lines and wrinkles that have become more noticeable
● Loss of firmness around the jawline, lower face and neck
● Skin that generally looks a little tired or less radiant

Why start in autumn?

Because collagen takes time.

After an Intensif treatment, your skin continues its natural collagen-remodelling process over the following weeks and months.

So autumn gives us a really lovely opportunity to repair some of the effects of summer and invest in stronger, healthier skin before winter arrives.

And let’s be honest, winter isn’t exactly kind to our skin either. Cold weather, wind and central heating can leave menopausal skin feeling even drier and more sensitive.

I’d much rather help strengthen your skin before it gets there.

And because you’re in perimenopause or menopause…

I don’t look at your skin in isolation.

Hormonal changes can have a huge impact on how your skin behaves – from dryness and sensitivity to collagen loss and pigmentation.

That’s why I’ll always consider where you are in your hormonal journey, what’s happening with your skin and what you actually want to improve before recommending a treatment.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

If you’re looking at your skin now and thinking…

“Why have I suddenly got so much pigmentation?”

“Why does my skin feel so dry?”

“Why do my lines seem more noticeable?”

This is where the right treatment and skincare can make a real difference.

This is actually a great time to do something about it.

EndyMed Intensif is definitely a treatment I’d be happy to discuss with you as part of your post-summer skin reset.

And, of course, I’ll also talk to you about your skincare and SPF because protecting your collagen is just as important as stimulating it!

If you’d like to chat about your skin and whether Intensif could be right for you, I’d love to see you at The Female Health Clinic in Hartley Wintney or Farnham. If Farnham is more convenient. My colleague Arabella would be very happy to see you.
