IPL
Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy, aka photofacial, is a way to improve the color and texture of your skin without surgery. It can undo some of the visible damage caused by sun exposure -- called photoaging. You may notice it mostly on your face, neck, hands, or chest.
What is Intense Pulse Light (IPL)?
Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is a popular treatment to help combat some of the textural and pigmentary skin changes that come with perimenopause and menopause.
It is a simple and effective procedure to reduce irregular pigmentation, redness, rosacea, broken veins, and age spots.
It can also help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, and pigmentation caused by sun exposure and damage.
How does IPL work?
The IPL device uses strong pulses of light that safely removes blemishes and small, thread veins – leaving a smoother skin tone, healthier complexion, less redness, and visible sun damage.
Who is suitable for the IPL?
IPL for skin rejuvenation can be carried out on skin types 1-4 on the Fitzpatrick scale.
How many treatments will I need?
Each treatment session will build on the results of the previous one, therefore we usually recommend a minimum of 3 sessions to get the best results.
A consultation and patch test are both required before your first treatment.
What are the benefits of IPL?
IPL is excellent for rejuvenating the skin. As the redness and pigmentation disappear, the skin is left much healthier and clearer looking.
If you already have a good skincare routine, it works brilliantly to help maintain the health and appearance of your skin.
